The highlight of it all was that scene off Serpent Rock when we saw snapper leaping and thrashing about in a most unsnapperly manner. Skipper ["Excuse me. Are you the Kapiten?" asked a small, superbly mannered European lad] Craig Johnson took us over to investigate.

Imagine diving with no bubbles, no scuba equipment, entering a silent world, and challenging your limits, extending your comfort zone, until you are almost a fish.

Two of our grand kids have had school trips to the Poor Knights Islands. They have also been taken by their schools to Goat Island, Leigh and to the Motukaroro Marine Reserve in Whangarei Harbour. They got to swim right around it seeing octopuses, pipefish and seahorses.

The Boss, Jeroen, said he had a surprise for us! Hoora! It was a wee boat, that he had fixed up, painted, and kitted out, and gave it to the Dive! Crew to play with, use and learn from.
This juvenile dolphin just off the coast is too cute! Watch him jump at the 13 second mark.

Happy Campers! We came up in May (so yes quite a while ago - but better late than never) for a day trip.
Half of us went diving the other ‘just’ snorkeled.
We ALL had the most epic day out!!! We all got home at night feeling like we’d had a holiday! Visibility was amazing, weather was beautiful and the crew was knowledgeable and fun. We got waited on with hot tea and soup, told a bit of history and other interesting facts and of course had the most fantastic time in the water! What we saw was almost unbelievable. We could not have asked for a better day.
THANK YOU!!!
