Rapper turned Traveller!

As soon as we descended I immediately knew why this area was one of Jacque Cousteau’s ten best places to dive. The floor was lush with orange kelp and teaming with all types of sea life. Apart from being within inches of a Moray Eel and only a few feet away from Eagle and Sting Rays, two of which were pregnant, we also spotted a seal cruising along the rocks.

Jamison spent the day with us, check his blog out!

The best part of the day had to be the second dive, which lead us into an area called Long Cave.  My only regret of the day was not having an underwater camera so here’s my best description.

If you can imagine floating into complete darkness, 14 meters underwater, then glancing to your rear to see beams of sunlight piercing a cobalt ocean, framed by the arch of cave walls dotted with marine life, you would have some understanding of what I witnessed today.

This was National Geographic in 3D and well worth my embarrassing bout of sea sickness on the ride back to the main island.  Unfortunately, the three cups of hot chocolate I drank between dives to stay warm, decided they had, had enough of being in my stomach and wanted to head overboard. Once again not my best moment, but the staff provided plenty of barf bags and a special seat for me be at the back of the boat to get through it.
